It's still fresh in our minds! Kylian Mbappé was appointed captain of the French national team right after the 2022 World Cup. At Thursday's press conference, the Real Madrid forward discussed how he's grown into this role with Les Bleus.

"I've grown as a captain; I started as a rookie. Now I have a bit more experience—it's been three years already. I try to be a unifier, to get involved. I aim to give more freedom to new leaders and make room for each of my teammates. That's especially important if we want to go far in major tournaments, particularly the World Cup," explained the Frenchman of Cameroonian descent.
