In the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, Gabon made light work of Seychelles (0-4) on Wednesday. Bouanga struck a hat-trick in the first half (4th, 34th, 38th minutes). After the break, it was M’Bemba who hammered in the final nail late in the game (89th minute). Final score, 0-4.

Despite Aubameyang’s absence, the Panthers completely controlled proceedings on neutral ground. Thanks to this win, Gabon temporarily snatches the top spot in Group F with 18 points from 7 matches, ahead of Ivory Coast (16 points, with a game in hand).

The African champions now find themselves under pressure ahead of Friday’s home clash against Burundi and the showdown with Gabon next Tuesday.
