The Tunisian Football Federation (FTF) is doubling down in its efforts to secure a new head coach ahead of upcoming challenges, chief among them the 2026 World Cup.

Former Carthage Eagles boss Sami Trabelsi was dismissed following Tunisia’s elimination by Mali in the round of 16 at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2025).

According to the latest reports, the Tunisian football authorities have set their sights on several coaches, including Franck Haise, the former OGC Nice manager.

Other options may be explored in the coming days, notably Argentine Miguel Gamondi, currently the head coach of Tanzania, as well as Belgian Tom Saintfiet, the current Mali manager.

Frenchman Sébastien Desabre is also on the shortlist, although a departure from the DR Congo national team seems unlikely.
