Ferran Torres has completed his move from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain after the Spain international agreed a contract with the French champions until 2031.
The 26-year-old forward joins PSG for a reported €50 million (£42.7m), bringing an end to his five-year spell in Catalonia. Torres arrives in Paris fresh from a remarkable World Cup campaign, having scored the extra-time winner against Argentina in the final to secure Spain’s second men’s World Cup title.
He will take the No 9 shirt at PSG, following the departure of Gonçalo Ramos, who has moved to AC Milan this summer.
Torres will also reunite with Luis Enrique, the former Barcelona boss who previously managed him with the Spanish national team.
During his Barcelona career, Torres made 207 appearances, scoring 65 goals and registering 22 assists. He enjoyed an especially productive final season, finding the net 21 times in 49 matches as Barcelona won La Liga.
Now, after becoming a World Cup hero, Torres starts a new chapter in France with a PSG side that have won the Champions League in each of the past two seasons.
