FLW's Norwich fan pundit has given his updated opinions on the pursuit of Kasper Hogh after yet another scoring week in the Champions League

Norwich City target Kasper Høgh once again found the back of the net in the Champions League in midweek for Bodø/Glimt away at Atlético Madrid, helping the first-time participants into the knockout phase.
The 25-year-old, who netted 17 in 28 Eliteserien games in the 2025 campaign, hit headlines following a brace against Premier League giants Manchester City in the penultimate league phase game.
This led Celtic to register their interest in Hogh, but despite this, Norwich launched a bid amounting to €8 million on Wednesday, just hours before he was the match-winner in Madrid.
Given his elite scoring last season, both in league action and in the Europa League, it was always seen as an unlikely coup if the Canaries could get the deal over the line, but three goals against two of Europe's biggest clubs in the past couple of weeks have made those slim chances even finer.
Zeke Downes, FLW's Norwich fan pundit, doesn't have much confidence that a deal can be made now. However, the Canaries do perhaps have one negotiation advantage: their manager, Philippe Clement.

Not many people expected Philippe Clement to join a side who were, at the time, in the Championship relegation zone. However, the Belgian boss did, and the Canaries have reaped the rewards.
Norwich has been one of the form teams in the entire division since Clement took over at Carrow Road, and he's transformed several players who were underperforming or perhaps overlooked under Liam Manning into top-level second-tier operators.
The pull power to play under Clement would put Norwich in a strong position when it comes to negotiating, but Downes acknowledges that, even with that, it could prove difficult to persuade Hogh to come to the Championship.
"I'm very worried that he won't be joining now," the fan pundit said.
"I didn't think he would anyway, but now he's scored these goals in the Champions League against big clubs to send them through, it isn't going to help our cause at all.
"It'll put eyes on him and get clubs involved who are a better prospect for him. I know there are definitely going to be a few clubs near the bottom who need a striker, so I highly doubt this will happen.
"Unless with Clement...he has such good powers of persuasion that he could make it happen? So who knows? He's worked miracles with a lot of our squad, so he may be able to get this one over the line, and if he does, it'd be a huge coup."
Ultimately, there's a case to be made that Norwich doesn't need a new striker, given the emergence of Jovon Makama, who has made the imminent departure of Josh Sargent that little less of a blow.
Given how promising the 21-year-old is, Downes doesn't want to do anything that may interrupt his progress.
So, while adding Hogh would be a big deal, he isn't too down if they do lose out, as in Makama, they have an exciting prospect who could propel the Canaries up the division.
"I do worry about the signing blocking the pathway of Makama. I don't want him to be pushed out on the wing when, as of now, it's working for him up front," Downes continued.
"I don't think we should change things if it's working, even if it would be a good thing to have squad depth. But even then, it's less likely to happen now."

Despite the events of the past week, the only added interest in England for Hogh has come from Championship rivals Ipswich Town and Wrexham, according to an exclusive report from Football League World.
If the destination over the coming days for the 25-year-old is to be the second tier, then Norwich should feel a lot more confident of getting the deal over the line.
While Ipswich and Wrexham pose the current possibility of earning Premier League promotion, Norwich is an exciting project under Philippe Clement, and if Downes is right about the pull power the Belgian manager can bring, perhaps the Canaries could see their pursuit successful.
Hogh has been a goalscoring machine over the last year in Norway, and some neutrals will feel that a move to the Championship may be selling him a little short, but the likes of Norwich won't care.
If the Canaries can secure his signature before the window closes on Monday, the rest of the Championship will be put on notice for the latter stages of the campaign.
