Valencia revisiting a move for Leeds United winger Largie Ramazani ‘would not be surprising’, with the Spanish club still keen to bring him back to the Mestalla.

After slipping down the pecking order at Elland Road, the 25-year-old spent last season on loan in Spain with Valencia, enduring a slow start before gradually finding his feet as the campaign progressed.

He went on to make 31 appearances, scoring six goals and providing two assists, and although Valencia were keen to extend his stay, they had no option to buy they could trigger.

Leeds have only been willing to let Ramazani go at a price Valencia will not pay.

Los Che, however, remain highly interested in securing his services on a permanent basis.

Daniel Farke left Ramazani out of the squad for Leeds United’s pre-season tour of the United States, instead keeping him at Thorp Arch, and with his future becoming increasingly uncertain, the Belgian winger is also open to a return to Mestalla.

The main obstacle for the La Liga side has been financial limitations, while Leeds are understood to be waiting for a club with ‘higher financial capability’ to meet their valuation.

However, according to Catalan daily Sport, it ‘would not be surprising’ to see Valencia reignite their pursuit of the Leeds attacker in the coming weeks.

Manager Carlos Corberan is looking to add two wingers before the transfer window closes in September, and Ramazani’s previous experience with the club makes him an appealing option.

Since arriving at Elland Road from Almeria, the 25-year-old has made more than 30 appearances for the Whites, although his potential departure would not represent a significant blow given he no longer appears to be a key figure in the club’s long-term plans.

Leeds have also strengthened their options in the wide areas this summer, with Harry Wilson already arriving to add further competition in the wing department.

As for Ramazani’s future, it remains to be seen whether Valencia will make another push to bring him back to Mestalla or whether Leeds will be forced to lower their asking price should the weeks pass without a suitable offer arriving for the Belgian winger.
