Jean-François joined the Blues in July 2024, after a two year stint with native Paris Saint-Germain. The French international made her debut in blue during a 3-2 against Real Madrid at Stamford Bridge in the UEFA Women’s Champions League.

A successful spell with the reigning WSL champions saw her feature 22 times last season as Sonia Bompastor’s side won the domestic treble undefeated.

Internationally, the midfielder has made 21 appearances for France, including playing 300 minutes during the Women’s European Championship in Switzerland this summer.

Aston Villa Director of Women’s Football Marisa Ewers said: “This is another signing that strongly supports our ambitions as a club.

“Oriane impressed throughout the European Championships as a starter for France, consistently performing at the highest level. We believe she will add immediate quality and further raise standards within the group.”
