New Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso has decided on his first-choice corner-kick taker for the 2025/26 campaign.
That’s according to Diario AS, who point towards Trent Alexander-Arnold as the player in question.
Alexander-Arnold has for his part spent the last couple of days familiarising himself with his new surroundings, as a Real Madrid player.
This comes after the long-term saga linking the 26-year-old with a Blancos switch was at long last brought to a definitive end.
And if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then Alexander-Arnold, evidently, is already making a positive impression on his new coaches.
As per a report from AS, as part of a more extensive piece focusing on the player’s stellar impact in his early training sessions, TAA has turned heads with his impressive corner-taking abilities.
So much so that:
‘He’ll be responsible for taking corners (except when specifically looking for a left-footed player) and especially for a right-footed player.’
