Xabi Alonso responds to big clubs wanting to sign Joao Pedro, Enzo Fernandez etc | OneFootball

New Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso has been asked about big clubs queuing up to sign Enzo Fernandez, Joao Pedro, and Marc Cucurella.

All three have been heavily linked with moves away from Chelsea in the summer transfer window, and it’s been pretty clear that all three have at least had their heads turned by interest coming in for them from big clubs.

Joao Pedro is pretty much linked with Barcelona on the daily right now. Enzo Fernandez we all know has a desire to play for Real Madrid. Marc Cucurella only has two years left on his current Chelsea contract so you’d imagine that unless he signs an extension some time soon, then he will be off this summer because Chelsea will not want to let his value decrease as his contract does the same.

Alonso might have a task on his hand to convince some of his current players to stay, but I’m sure he will do all he can to persuade them.

The new Chelsea manager was asked by El Chiringuito TV about how “other big clubs want your players, Barcelona with Joao Pedro, Enzo Fernandez, Cucurella, etc?”

He replies, “This is football; we’re going to make a good team.”
