Xabi Alonso ‘willing to let anyone go’ to sign Serie A prodigy, claims Italian agent | OneFootball

According to Italian agent and intermediary Giovanni Branchini, Real Madrid coach Xabi Alonso requested the signing of Juventus gem Kenan Yildiz last summer and still remains interested in the young Turk.

Yildiz, along with Real Madrid’s indispensable figure, Arda Guler, is considered one of the great hopes of Turkish football. The Juventus player has become a leader for the Italian side and is highly sought after by major European clubs.

Juventus are aiming to build a new title-winning project around him but are well aware of the widespread interest he attracts across Europe.

The 20-year-old starlet has impressed heavily, irrespective of the stage, and is seemingly admired by Alonso, according to Branchini.

“Xabi Alonso wants Yildiz at Real Madrid. Xabi is willing to let anyone go to sign him, except Mbappe. Juventus is currently asking for €100 million,” the agent said in an interview, as quoted by AS.

The Real Madrid coach and the Turkish forward coincided at Bayern Munich. When Yildiz was part of the German club’s academy, Alonso was still playing for the Bundesliga side, and the two have maintained a good relationship since then.

Ahead of the recent match against Juventus, Alonso spoke about Yildiz, saying: “They have very good players, and Yildiz is one of them. He’s had a fantastic development.

“I know him. He was at Bayern Munich when I was there. Seeing his progress makes me very happy.”

Given the growing interest in Yildiz, Juventus are already working on a contract renewal for the 20-year-old attacking prodigy despite him being on a long-term deal already.

So, it remains to be seen if Alonso and Real Madrid’s interest in the young Turkish international leads to anything substantial before the summer of 2026.
