Barcelona locked horns with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a win on the road in the UEFA Champions League. The Catalan club made a slow start to the game and conceded the opener in the 27th minute when Jules Kounde scored an unfortunate own goal. Ronald Araujo was sent off by the referee in the latter stages of the first half as Hansi Flick’s players went into the half-time interval 1-0 down on the scoreline.

Estevao doubled his side’s advantage in the 55th minute before Liam Delap put the contest to bed in the 73rd minute. The contest finished with Barcelona suffering a poor 3-0 loss away from home.

LB: Alejandro Balde – 6/10

He came back to defend when he could and made some promising runs with the ball.

CM: Frenkie De Jong – 6/10

De Jong caught the eye at times but failed to get a foothold in the game.

CM: Eric Garcia – 6/10

He got stuck in with some solid tackles but offered very little going forward.

CM: Fermin Lopez – 5.5/10

He failed to impress during his time on the pitch and was replaced after the hour mark.

RW: Lamine Yamal – 7/10

Yamal caused some problems for the Chelsea defenders, but didn’t do enough to register a goal.

He struggled to threaten the opponent’s goal and was substituted in the 61st minute.
