FC Barcelona's young sensation, Lamine Yamal, has once again demonstrated his deep attachment to the Catalan club with powerful statements about his future. The Spanish prodigy made it clear that he wants to continue his adventure in the blaugrana shirt for as long as possible.
These remarks were made during the gala organized by Mundo Deportivo at the Catalonia Congress Palace, celebrating the publication's 120th anniversary. Several iconic Barça figures were honored throughout the evening, including head coach Hans Flick.
On this special occasion, Lamine Yamal received the Mundo Deportivo trophy in recognition of his pivotal role in Barcelona’s domestic treble last season: La Liga, Copa del Rey, and the Spanish Super Cup.
Other honors were also awarded: Joan García was named best goalkeeper for his season with Espanyol, Raphinha took home the "Cobra" trophy for his contributions to the team’s success, while Hans Flick was crowned best coach of the 2024/2025 season.
During the ceremony, Yamal stated:
“I want to stay in Barcelona my whole life. I'm at the best club in the world and I enjoy every training session.”
Words that naturally struck a chord with the blaugrana faithful, who see him as one of the cornerstones of the club’s future.
At just 18 years old, Lamine Yamal continues his remarkable season with impressive stats: 13 goals and 13 assists in 28 matches across all competitions.
