Manchester United added more quality to their attack this summer following their disappointing run in the 2024/25 campaign.
After finishing 15th in the Premier League and losing the Europa League final to Tottenham Hotspur, Ruben Amorim proceeded to overhaul his frontline.
Alejandro Garnacho and Antony were shown the door, while Marcus Rashford, Rasmus Hojlund and Jadon Sancho were offloaded on temporary deals. In came Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko.
The Red Devils’ decision has already paid off, with the team scoring 19 goals in 11 games across competitions this season.
However, INEOS remain on the hunt for further additions, and according to TBR Football, RB Leipzig starlet Yan Diomande has emerged on their radar.
The Ivorian winger rose through the ranks at DME Academy in Florida, before joining Leganes in January, and was picked up by RB Leipzig this summer after an impressive six months in Spain.
The 18 year old has scored three goals and set up three more in 10 appearances in all competitions this season for the Bundesliga club.

Red Bull’s head of Global Soccer, Jurgen Klopp, reportedly regards Diomande as one of the best young talents in the world.
Speaking to TBR Football, journalist Graeme Bailey said: “Despite Ole Werner having summer signing Johan Bakayoko and Norwegian star Antonio Nusa at his disposal, Diomande is the one everyone is talking about and looking at.”
“He really is special, I am told Red Bull think he could be their greatest prospect since Erling Haaland. Leipzig say there is no release clause, and already he is being talked about in the £88 million category.
“From what I am hearing from scouts and clubs, there is not a player currently in Europe who has clubs more excited. Could he have a third club in 18 months, come next summer? It’s not beyond the realms of possibility.”
United are likely to face competition from Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur in the race. The Premier League clubs have reportedly scouted the player several times already this season.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich are among the player’s other suitors, meaning he could spark a bidding war soon. Diomande is under contract at the Red Bull Arena until 2030 and does not have a release clause in his deal.
United have invested heavily in young talent in recent times and Diomande could fit in well under Ruben Amorim. Winning the race for his signature could be a significant boost to INEOS’ future plans.
