Yoann Damet named head coach of SC Saint-Louis City in MLS

Yoann Damet, 35, has been appointed head coach of SC Saint-Louis City in MLS.

According to L'Équipe, he has agreed a deal running until June 2028.

After three seasons as Wilfried Nancy’s assistant at the Columbus Crew, this is his first role as a head coach.

Sporting director Corey Wray said Damet fits the club’s profile and shares its vision and objectives. He believes the Frenchman’s experience with leading MLS teams and coaches will help get the best out of the players.

A former youth coach at Dijon in 2013, Damet won the MLS Cup in 2023 and the League Cup in 2024 with the Columbus Crew.

Saint-Louis will be his fifth club in North America after spells at Montréal, Cincinnati, where he oversaw a 16-match interim, and LA Galaxy.
