Success coupled by great starts this season

The Porsche Football Cup is back in Salzburg's hands! At the VfB Stuttgart club centre, our Red Bull Football Academy team prevailed against seven top-class sides at the weekend to lift the trophy in this U15 competition – and become the first club ever to do so for the second time! As in 2023, Handle's team faced local heroes Stuttgart in the final, with Konstantin Hofmaier's golden goal making the difference in front of over 1,500 spectators in the atmospheric Robert Schlienz Stadium.

Our team laid the foundation for this sensational triumph with a confident run through the group stage, after which the Young Bulls eliminated defending champions FC Barcelona in a thrilling penalty shoot-out.

The boys did a really good job of implementing what we had planned for the weekend and therefore deserved the victory! They played from the heart. As always, the tournament was superbly organised, and the pitch quality was excellent. It's fun to come here, especially with the international competition, which is valuable for us in preparing for international challenges!

Buoyed by their euphoric success, the team are hoping to take their first points of the new ÖFB Youth League season this coming weekend when AKA Vorarlberg visit.

Racing from win to win

The U16 boys showed just what is possible in a prestigious tournament when a few weeks ago they came up against Athletic Bilbao, Liverpool and others in the Next Generation Trophy. Following their advance to the quarter-finals then, our youngsters have made a flawless start to the league season, picking up maximum of six points from the first two matchdays. The U18 team have also got off to a good start and remain unbeaten so far.

Our girls' teams have also made a perfect start: The U16 team got off to a flying start in their new league on Saturday (9-0 against their counterparts from Hartberg), while the U20 team remain unbeaten after four matchdays in the Women's Future League – in which we are the reigning champions – with four wins from as many games!
