Yunus Musah’s Milan future has taken a sharp turn under Rubén Amorin, according to Superdeporte.

The American joined Milan in 2023/2024 from Valencia for €20 million. After two years without nailing down a starting place, Atalanta paid €4 million for a loan.

Expectations in Bérgamo were high but his impact disappointed. He featured in 20 Serie A matches, only five starts, scoring one goal and supplying no assists.

That spell left him seemingly bound for a move away from San Siro. Amorin arrived in June as Milan’s new head coach after an unsuccessful stint at Manchester United. In pre-season he backed Musah despite an apparent exit, and the player responded positively.

Amorin views him as a dynamic midfielder who covers ground and breaks lines. Musah started two pre-season games and came on at half-time in the other two, leaving a very good impression. His displays have shifted his status dramatically and he is now off Milan’s transfer list.
