Zamalek SC have been hit with new FIFA transfer ban, their fifth active case after fresh sanction appeared on the world governing body’s disciplinary portal dated 24 November 2025.

This latest case imposes three window registration ban deepening the financial & administrative turmoil surrounding the Egyptian club.

Crucially FIFA hasn't yet revealed the identity of the claimant though the complaint relates once again to unpaid financial obligations.

The club had already been banned from registering players due to four separate ruling concerning the unpaid wages of the assistant coaches of former Portuguese manager Jose Gomes.

Egyptian reports indicate their dues range between 60000 dollar & 70000 plus interest.

All four ban will be lifted the moment Zamalek pay the outstanding amounts and the same applies to this fifth case.

This's the fourth time in November alone that the White Knights have appeared on FIFA’s sanctions list.

The repeated bans expected to significantly impact the club’s plans for the January transfer window where reinforcements were originally considered a key priority.

Despite the off field turmoil, Zamalek opened their CAF Confederation Cup group stage campaign with 1 - 0 win over ZESCO United in Cairo thanks to Seifeddine Jaziri’s goal.

They now prepare to travel to South Africa for tough clash against Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday in second round of Group D.

In Egyptian Premier League, Zamalek sit 3rd with 22 point, seven behind leaders Al Masry who have played one more match.

Club trapped between results & reality

All these administrative issues affect Zamalek's competitiveness on the field as the five active case at FIFA limit the club's ability to build team.
