Zeki Celik moved to Juventus in the last transfer window, and the Turkish defender has become one of the main players in the team as he fills in at left back and continues to perform well.

With Pierre Kalulu remaining solid on the right and Juventus failing to add a new left back to their squad during the last transfer window, Celik has been receiving plenty of playing time.

He is enjoying the opportunity to play regularly, while the defender also recognises that there is still plenty for him to learn. He is doing just that at Juventus, who are arguably a much bigger club than those he has played for previously.

Celik Learning at Juventus

Celik played for AS Roma last season, and the club was closing in on a new contract for him after his previous deal was due to expire at the end of the last campaign. However, Juventus hijacked the transfer when Roma believed they had reached an agreement with him.

Juventus might not currently be performing as strongly as Roma, but Celik knows he is playing for the bigger club. His experience in Turin is also giving him an opportunity to develop his game while working under a new coach.

The defender believes what he is learning at Juventus can benefit him when he represents Turkiye on the international stage. His regular involvement has allowed him to gain experience in a different environment and learn from the demands of playing for one of Italy’s biggest clubs.

Experience Can Benefit Turkiye

Celik is enjoying his time at Juventus and believes the experience is helping him improve. He is also looking to take what he learns at club level into the national team when he represents Turkiye.

The defender has made clear that his time at Juventus is about more than simply gaining regular playing time. He is using the opportunity to learn from his new coach and apply those lessons to his international career.

Celik says via Tuttomercatoweb:

“The Juventus experience is important: I’m happy to be at Juve, I’m learning a lot from the new coach and I’m trying to bring what I learn to the national team.”

His comments show how highly he values the opportunity to develop at Juventus and use that experience to contribute to Turkiye.
