Zhegrova set to stay at Juventus as Saudi dream fades | OneFootball

Edon Zhegrova is one of the players Juventus still hope will leave the club this summer, as he has been a disappointing signing for them and is not in the plans of Luciano Spalletti.

The manager will use him if he has no choice, but when all the players are fit, Zhegrova will not come close to playing for the Bianconeri’s first team. His position within the squad remains uncertain, and Juventus would prefer to find another solution for the Kosovo international.

The Kosovo international wants to prove that he can meet expectations, but Juve have given up on him and had been hopeful that he would move to Saudi Arabia.

In the last few days, Al Ittihad had been showing interest in his signature, and the attacker would love to make the move. However, they have cooled their interest, and Tuttojuve says Juve now expect him to stay at the club.

Juventus face Zhegrova dilemma

The Bianconeri see him as one of the players who can still improve, and if they are forced to keep him, they will reintegrate him into their squad.

That would give Zhegrova another opportunity to prove himself at Juventus, despite the fact that he is not currently part of Spalletti’s plans. The attacker still wants to show that he can meet the expectations placed on him.

Juve would therefore have to find a way to keep him involved if no transfer materialises. His situation could become increasingly complicated if the club cannot find a suitable destination for him.

Bianconeri need a solution

However, their goal remains for him to leave, but they also understand that this can only happen if there is a club that wants to sign him. So far, there has been no club willing to do just that.

The interest from Al Ittihad appeared to offer Juventus a possible solution, particularly because Zhegrova would have liked to make the move. However, their decision to cool their interest has left Juve facing the possibility of keeping him.

The Bianconeri will therefore have to work carefully to keep Zhegrova active if he remains at the club. While they still hope to find a buyer, they may have to reintegrate him and ensure he remains involved if no suitable offer arrives.

For Zhegrova, staying at Juventus would provide another chance to prove his value, even though the club’s preference remains to find him a new destination this summer.
