Zinédine Zidane will face Italy again on Friday in the Nations League at 20:45. He returns to the Stade de France almost 20 years after Berlin, where his final match, in 2006, was against Italy.

This is the third match of his tenure as France manager. According to L'Équipe, he will select a more conventional line-up than in Belgium.

At this stadium, crowds have previously chanted his nickname even when he was no longer on the pitch.

Those familiar sounds may return as he reconnects with the French public.

Since moving into coaching he has favoured a dark suit on the touchline, a look that has come to symbolise his transformation.
