Zinédine Zidane has stepped up preparations for his first France camp. According to L'Équipe, the new head coach used his latest outing to ready his return at the helm of Les Bleus.

He officially took charge on one August as the 18th manager, signing a four-year contract. 15 days on, the successor to Didier Deschamps made his first outing in the role.

On Sunday he was at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis to watch Lens defeat PSG 1-0 in the Trophée des Champions.

Zidane also stopped at Clairefontaine to prepare the inaugural gathering of his squad and to regain his bearings at the National Football Centre.

The visits signalled the start of his groundwork ahead of bringing the group together for the first time.
