Castellón B have been shifted into Segunda Federación Group three, and will open at home to CF Intercity on six September.

The Real Federación Española de Fútbol said the late redistribution was designed to improve organisation, cut travel distances and reduce overnight stays. Group three features 18 teams with 34 matchdays, finishing on nine May 2027.

Castellón B regained their fourth-tier spot when SD Tarazona were placed in Tercera Federación for economic reasons, and were initially put in Group two. Later, the RFEF refused CD Unión Malacitano’s registration, the club that played last season as FC La Unión Atlético, with Salerm Cosmetics Puente Genil filling the vacancy.

That prompted a redistribution, sending Calamocha to Group two, Castellón B to three, Puente Genil to four and Atlético Paso to five. No new draw was held, the 30 June pairings remain, so Castellón B inherit FC La Unión Atlético’s slot and calendar.

The new section is officially defined by the Comunitat Valenciana, Región de Murcia and the Balearic Islands, bringing seven Valencian sides, six from Murcia and four from the islands. Opponents include CD Alcoyano, Valencia-Mestalla, CF La Nucía, UCAM Murcia, Yeclano Deportivo, RCD Mallorca B and Atlético Baleares.

The definitive fixture list has been published, with exact days and kick-off times to be confirmed. Matchday two brings CD Alcoyano on 13 September, followed by trips to Valencia-Mestalla on 20 September and Orihuela on 27 September, and the campaign ends at home to Elche Ilicitano on nine May.
