Zinédine Zidane has provisionally called up Esteban Lepaul to the France squad, L'Equipe reports. The move concerns Nations League fixtures on 25 against Türkiye, 28 against Belgium, 2 against Italy and 5 against Belgium.

A new face could therefore feature in the late September and early October camp.

Lepaul came through the youth ranks at Colmar, Nancy and Lyon. He finished last season as Ligue 1’s top scorer with 20 goals for Rennes.

Zidane is due to make his first squad announcement on 18 September. The list could extend beyond 23 players to handle a heavy schedule.
