Zubeldía eyes Copa do Brasil rematch with Vasco after derby loss

After the defeat to Vasco in the Brasileirão, coach Luis Zubeldía attended the press conference and analyzed the derby. In the Argentine’s view, the game was balanced, with a good first half from Fluminense, but the striker Rayan tipped the scales in favor of the rival.

If we analyze the game, we can say it was a good first half, with more clarity than them. And the striker Rayan was able to find space to take two shots, one deflected off one of our defenders and the second was a long-range shot. I think the team played a good first half, 15, 20 minutes. Despite the second goal coming early, the last 20 minutes were already more difficult, because with our desperation, they started to find themselves a bit more. But for me, the result is very tight compared to what happened during the match,” said the coach.

The Tricolor coach is already looking ahead to the next clash between the teams, in December, for the semifinals of the Copa do Brasil.
