Frank Lampard's side have won back-to-back Championship games for the first time since the end of November, and have his side looking to kick on once more following a patchy run of results through December.

Meanwhile, the Canaries are starting to thrive under Philippe Clement, winning consecutively in the Championship for the first time this season, including a 5-0 rout at West Brom on Tuesday, and thus climbing out of the bottom three for the first time since late October.

It's all gearing up to be a big game under the lights in Norfolk, but these eight players are set to be absent from it.

Josh Sargent

Starting with the hosts, Josh Sargent looks to have played his last game for Norwich.

The American frontman has been missing since he withdrew himself from selection in the Canaries' resounding win over Walsall in the FA Cup a fortnight ago.

Now, according to Tom Bogert, after a meeting between Ben Knapper and Philippe Clement, the 25-year-old has played his last game for the club, as he continues to push for a move to Toronto FC after the MLS outfit saw a £15m bid rejected.

Lucien Mahovo

Young left-back Lucien Mahovo will be out for a period with a muscle injury which he picked up in training. It's seen him miss the last two, and the 20-year-old will continue to be on the shelf for the foreseeable future.

It's another setback for the promising defender, who missed the tail end of last season with a

Amankwah Forson

Amankwah Forson has struggled with hamstring injuries so far this campaign, missing over two months of action to start the season after pulling up lame vs Millwall on the opening day.

The 23-year-old looked to be coming into his own under Philippe Clement, starting four out of five games up to and including a trip to Preston in late December, where he was forced off just 36 minutes in with a recurrence of that injury.

Forson has missed the last six league games and could be in line to miss another one on Monday night.

Jeffrey Schlupp

Jeffrey Schlupp is yet to play for Philippe Clement, as the 33-year-old continues to nurse the hamstring injury that has kept him out for close to three months.

The former Crystal Palace man is a veteran head in the Carrow Road changing room, and his return will be warmly welcomed. However, it's still to be seen what role Schlupp will play under the new Canaries boss.

Shane Duffy

Veteran centre-back Shane Duffy has been missing for the majority of Philippe Clement's reign as Norwich boss, with his only start coming in a 4-1 away defeat against Birmingham City in his first game in charge.

In a match for the Under-21s in the Premier League Cup against Bromley on December 19, Duffy was withdrawn four minutes before the end of the first half, and hasn't been in a matchday squad since.

Mirko Topic

New arrival Mirko Topic was a regular feature in the Norwich side under Liam Manning, and like many of his peers, could have really thrived under Philippe Clement.

Unfortunately, he went down with a season-ending ACL injury during the Belgian boss' second game in charge against Oxford United.

His presence has been missed in the last couple of months, and will continue to be missed throughout the rest of the campaign.

Ante Crnac

Like Mirko Topic, Ante Crnac will miss the rest of the 2025/26 season with an ACL injury, although the Croat is a little further on in his recovery, having picked up the injury in late October.

The wideman has had a tough time adjusting to life in the Championship after moving from Rakow for £8.5 million last August, and this setback won't do him, or Norwich, any favours.

The 22-year-old is yet to play under Philippe Clement, and he won't be for a long while.

Oliver Dovin

It's been good news out of the Coventry camp this week personnel wise, revealed assistant manager Joe Edwards, who was standing in for Frank Lampard, as he supported Jamie Allen at a close family funeral, ahead of the Norwich trip.

With Bobby Thomas and Kaine Kesler-Hayden back in training, that leaves goalkeeper Oliver Dovin as the only confirmed absentee for the Sky Blues.

The Swedish shot-stopper has been absent with a cruciate knee injury for 10 months, and last week, Lampard stated that he wasn't going to commit to a specific return date.
