The 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations has been postponed to this summer, 12 days before its planned start.
CAF said in a statement that, after talks with partners including FIFA and other stakeholders, the tournament will run from 25 July to 16 August 2026 to ensure the competition's success given unforeseen circumstances.

It had been scheduled for 17 March to three April, and Morocco, the hosts, had pressed for a change of dates.
No further explanation for the delay was provided.
The move draws a line under weeks of speculation over the timing.
