CAF announces postponement of the Africa Women’s Cup of Nations! (Official)

The Confederation of African Football has put an end to speculation surrounding the upcoming Africa Women’s Cup of Nations. Originally scheduled to take place in Morocco from March 17 to April 3, 2026, the continental tournament will no longer be held on those dates.

The 2026 Women’s AFCON will now take place from July 25 to August 16, 2026, still on Moroccan soil.

CAF explained this decision as a desire “to ensure the success of this important women’s competition, given certain unforeseen circumstances.” This change in schedule is intended to allow for better organization of the event and to provide optimal conditions for all participating teams.
