‘A Blue team and a Red team’ – Barcelona superstar forward confirms he received offers from the Premier League | OneFootball

Raphinha has once again made his feelings towards Barcelona clear after revealing that he rejected major Premier League interest because his priority was always to wear the Blaugrana shirt.

The Brazilian winger opened up about the transfer opportunities he recently received and admitted that two major clubs from London tried to sign him.

However, despite the financial power and attraction of the Premier League, the winger insists there was only one destination he truly wanted.

“I had offers from a Blue team and also a Red team from London… but the best decision of my career was signing for Barcelona,” he said, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.

Although Raphinha did not directly mention the names of the clubs involved, it can be assumed that he might be referring to Chelsea and Arsenal.

Despite heavy interest in the Brazilian, Raphinha’s commitment to Barcelona has never dwindled.

Over the last year alone, Raphinha has been linked with moves away from the club. 

Interest has arrived not only from England but also from Saudi Arabia, where several clubs reportedly viewed him as a major transfer target. Still, the winger never seriously considered leaving.

Reports surrounding a possible Saudi Pro League move intensified recently, especially given the financial offers being prepared for top European stars. 

Yet, Raphinha remains fully focused on continuing his journey under Hansi Flick.

A few weeks ago, the Brazilian also openly addressed the criticism and transfer speculation that has followed him since arriving at the club.

“Ever since I arrived at Barcelona, from day one there’s been speculation that I’m going to leave this club. 

“I think people don’t really like seeing me here. Especially the press… there’s one guy who just tells lies,” he said.

Despite this, the winger has continued fighting for his place and has become one of the most committed figures inside the squad.
