A Mexican club shows interest in Anthony Martial

Anthony Martial, the 29-year-old French striker currently playing for AEK Athens, could soon be on his way out of Greece.

According to several Mexican media outlets, UNAM Pumas are eyeing a loan move for the player. Martial, who became a free agent after leaving Manchester United in the summer of 2024, joined AEK Athens and has since netted 9 goals and provided 2 assists in 24 official appearances in Greece.

The main stumbling block remains Martial's high salary, but AEK Athens seem willing to accept a loan deal to Mexico. Now, Pumas must negotiate personal terms with the French forward before the Mexican transfer window closes on September 12, 2025.
