Ademola Lookman is entering a new chapter with Atalanta. After a turbulent summer in which he wanted to leave the club, the Nigerian forward could now be set to extend his contract.

At 27, Lookman has risen to stardom in Italy. Everyone still remembers his stunning hat-trick in the 2024 Europa League final against Leverkusen, a performance that etched his name into the club’s history. This past summer, Lookman was keen on a move—especially to Inter or the Premier League. Ultimately, he stayed and returned to action for Atalanta in their 3-0 win over Torino on September 21.

His current contract runs until 2027. The club is considering offering him a pay rise and a special clause for a future transfer. The aim is to ease the situation and keep Lookman fully motivated. Since joining Atalanta, Lookman has scored 52 goals and provided 25 assists in 119 matches. Last season alone, he netted 20 goals across all competitions.
