Beever-Jones has made a stunning start to the 2025-26 WSL season, with champions Chelsea top of the standings.

How Aggie Beever-Jones won the Player of the Month award

Beever-Jones is one of three players to have scored four goals so far in the WSL this season.

She scored in each of Chelsea’s four games played in September, helping the Blues to victories over Manchester City, Aston Villa, Leicester City and West Ham.

The pick of her goals was a stunning free-kick from almost 30 yards against West Ham, which won Chelsea’s Goal of the Month award.

The 22-year-old has been Chelsea’s most consistent goalscorer over the last two seasons, netting 11 goals in 2023-24 and nine in 2024-25.

Beever-Jones had been favourite to win the WSL Player of the Month award after she was included on a shortlist which also included Arsenal’s Alessia Russo.

Also making the shortlist included; Aoba Fujino, Anna Sandberg, Maisie Symonds and Cathinka Tandberg.

Beever-Jones also recently topped SheKicks’ WSL Striker power rankings after her excellent start to the campaign.

What are Beever-Jones’ Golden Boot chances?

Beever-Jones had made herself an early contender to win the Golden Boot after scoring four goals for Chelsea in the WSL this term.

She is joined at the top of the scoring charts by Melvine Malard and Khadija Shaw.

The favourites to win the Golden Boot are Shaw and Alessia Russo who are almost guaranteed to start as the central striker every week.

Beever-Jones is an underdog to win the award, as she faces competition to start up front.

The England striker could face a scrap to keep hold of her starting place as the season progresses.

She was pushed out wide against Manchester United, with Catarina Macario instead chosen for the central striker position. However, Beever-Jones did move back into the centre against FC Twente.

Sam Kerr’s fitness is also improving all the time after she returned from a lengthy knee injury absence last month.

What’s next for Beever-Jones?

After drawing blanks in draws against Manchester United and FC Twente, Beever-Jones will be hoping to return to scoring form when Chelsea host Tottenham on Sunday.

Next week, Chelsea host Paris FC in the Champions League, before Beever-Jones is expected to meet up with the England squad for their international friendlies later this month.
