Al-Hilal ‘to sign’ Crysencio Summerville after late Roma pursuit | OneFootball

Al-Hilal have launched a late move to sign West Ham winger Crysencio Summerville, and David Ornstein reports they have agreed an 80 million euros deal that would rank as the Saudi league’s second most expensive. The fee would exceed the 77 million euros Al-Nassr paid for Jhon Duran, but trail Neymar’s 90 million switch to Al-Hilal.

Fabrizio Romano says Al-Hilal lodged an offer to hijack Roma’s pursuit after the Italians submitted three bids. Ben Jacobs adds that Roma’s third and final proposal was 46 million euros before Al-Hilal stepped in.

Summerville is set to sign a long-term contract once he completes a medical in the coming hours.

The Dutch winger caught the eye at the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico, recording two goals and two assists despite not starting every match.

For West Ham last season he featured in 34 matches, scoring seven and providing five assists. The 24-year-old prefers the left flank, but can also operate on the right or centrally as a striker or playmaker to a lesser extent.
