Al Sadd ‘to offer’ three-year deal to Luiz Araújo of Flamengo | OneFootball

According to Coluna Do Fla, Qatar's Al Sadd are interested in signing Flamengo forward Luiz Araújo and are prepared to offer a three-year contract.

Beşiktaş in Türkiye and other clubs are also monitoring the player. His release clause stands at 50 million euros, approximately R$ 299.5 million.

Araújo is under contract with Flamengo until December 2027. With limited minutes under Leonardo Jardim, the No 7 does not rule out a move.

Flamengo signed Araújo in June 2023 from Atlanta United for 9 million euros, around R$ 48 million at the time. He has since made 171 appearances, scoring 26 goals and providing 22 assists.

Araújo and other Flamengo players not called up for the World Cup are currently on holiday. The squad will report back on 19 June at the Ninho do Urubu training complex.

During the World Cup break, Flamengo plan a training camp in Portugal featuring three friendlies against Falkirk, Birmingham and Benfica.
