MC Alger, leaders of the Algerian Ligue 1, see their lead threatened at the end of matchday 20, following a 1-2 defeat against MC Oran on Friday.

MC Oran vs MC Alger: It was a highly anticipated clash that lived up to expectations. On their trip to Oran, the league leaders couldn't withstand the home side's pressure and conceded the winning goal in the 94th minute through an own goal by Ayoub Abdellaoui. Oran opened the scoring early in the 23rd minute through Boubacar Traoré, before Zinedine Ferhat equalized in the 42nd minute.

This surprising defeat puts MC Alger in a very difficult position at the top of the league with 36 points. CS Constantine, who secured a valuable 2-0 win over ASO Chlef, have now narrowed the gap to just a single point. The race for the title is more intense than ever.
