Alphonso Davies has suffered a left hamstring injury and is not expected to play again for Bayern Munich this season. The club said in a statement that he will be out for several weeks.

The left-back came on late on Wednesday and set up Harry Kane at 90+4, but Bayern were knocked out of the Champions League by PSG after a 1-1 draw, having lost the first leg 5-4.

The injury rules him out of Saturday’s trip to Wolfsburg, kick-off 18:30.

Bayern have already secured the Bundesliga with two matches remaining and will contest the German Cup final on 23 May, so his club campaign appears over.

Davies, 25, has 58 caps for Canada and returned this winter after eight months out with a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. He is due at the World Cup from 11 June to 19 July in the United States, Canada and Mexico, so no risks are expected with his recovery.
