Belgium beat the United States 4-1 in the last 16 on Monday, but Amadou Onana’s World Cup is in doubt after he injured his right knee.
The midfielder went off in the 21st minute and later left the stadium on crutches. According to The Athletic, he is believed to have sustained an anterior cruciate ligament rupture and could face a lengthy absence.

Head coach Rudi Garcia said after the match that Onana had suffered a serious injury.
The Belgium coach added he had the feeling the Aston Villa midfielder, 24, would be ruled out for the rest of the tournament.
Early indications around the injury were not encouraging.
