Defender Tyrell Malacia has been reintegrated into the Manchester United first team by Ruben Amorim.

The Dutch international had been a part of United's 'bomb squad' over the summer of players who were told to find new clubs. Four of the five have moved on with Malacia the only one remaining.

Malacia had been training with the U21s but has now regained enough fitness to be brought back into the first team, according to reports.

The 26-year-old spent the second half last season on loan at PSV, where he played 12 times having featured just eight times for the Red Devils before that.

Malacia initially joined United from Feyenoord in the summer of 2022 but missed the entire 2023/24 campaign due to injury and has yet to rediscover the form that had made him an exciting young defender.
