Kay further reports that City are currently assessing their options as to how to replace Alvarez. Furthermore, Kay reports that Manchester City may not target a striker to replace the World Cup winner. Lastly, Kay adds that City have concrete interest in several high-profile players to add to Pep Guardiola’s squad.

A Manchester City move for Eberechi Eze is beginning to make sense.

As previously reported earlier this week it did appear that there was a chance Manchester City could target Eberechi Eze to replace Julian Alvarez. The England international does look to be a player who could slot seamlessly into Pep Guardiola’s squad. With his versatility and all-around ability, he could become another match-winner for the world champions. Eze is also a proven Premier League performer which also adds to the case for Manchester City making a move for the playmaker.

It remains to be seen who Manchester City will move for to replace Julian Alvarez. With the transfer window due to close on the 30th of August City will have to move quickly to add to their squad.
