Anatoliy Trubin kept his cards close over his Benfica future. The goalkeeper, a regular under Mourinho, stopped short of a firm commitment for 2026/27.

Asked if he could leave this summer, he said: "No." Asked if he intends to stay next season, he replied: "Yes." Pressed for a stronger guarantee, he added: "We will see." He told SIC.

He also said: "Do I want to stay at Benfica? Yes. I am very happy."

His name has been linked with a possible sale, but he avoided any detailed discussion and instead underlined his contentment playing for Benfica.

In 2025/26 he made 50 competitive appearances for Benfica, across 32 in Liga Portugal Betclic, 14 in the Liga dos Campeões, two in the Taça de Portugal, one in the Taça da Liga and one in the Supertaça. He conceded 43 goals in 4,455 minutes and is valued at €25 million.

The squad have now entered their off season break following the campaign’s conclusion. Trubin’s remarks leave his immediate future open, even as he indicates a desire to remain.
