Corinthians will be without midfielder André Carrillo for Sunday’s Paulistão derby against Palmeiras after he was diagnosed with a left adductor problem, the club said this evening.
The Peruvian was already absent from Thursday’s 3-0 win over Capivariano.
Physical demands have become a concern at Corinthians early in the season, with a short turnaround from the Copa do Brasil final on 21 December 2025 and a packed January schedule.
In that game, goalkeeper Hugo Souza and defender Gabriel Paulista were also rested.
The medical department is currently treating left-back Hugo Farias, who has a right knee meniscus injury and will undergo arthroscopy, and forward Kaio César, sidelined by a right hamstring problem.
Kick-off at Neo Química Arena is at 20:30. The match, in the seventh round, is part of the battle for the overall lead, with both sides looking to close on leaders Grêmio Novorizontino on 16 points.
