Carrillo out of Corinthians v Palmeiras derby with discomfort | OneFootball

Corinthians will be without midfielder André Carrillo for Sunday’s Campeonato Paulista derby against Palmeiras after he felt discomfort.

According to Globo.com, the Peru international skipped Saturday’s final training session at CT Joaquim Grava as a precaution and remained unfit to play on Sunday.

Fitness has been a concern for Timão at the start of the year, with limited rest since the Copa do Brasil final on 21 December 2025 and a congested run of fixtures.

This will be the clubs’ first meeting of 2026, and Corinthians are aiming to continue last year’s edge, when they recorded three wins, three draws and one defeat against their rivals.

Kick-off is at 20:30 Brasília time at Neo Química Arena, and the result could secure a quarter-final place.
