Andreas Schjelderup opened the scoring for Norway with a superb 36th-minute strike against England in the World Cup 2026 quarter-final on Saturday night.
L'Équipe notes that Stale Solbakken started the Benfica winger on the left instead of Antonio Nusa.
His effort from the left flew past Jordan Pickford, too powerful and too well placed for the England goalkeeper.
It was the 22-year-old's first international goal, ending a run of 16 caps without scoring.
He had set up one goal against France in the group stage, a 1-4 defeat, then provided two more as a substitute in the 2-1 win over Brazil in the last 16.
