Now it appears that Pep Guardiola’s side is on the verge of signing another young defender. This time it appears that City are on the verge of completing a deal to sign Juma Bah. If the deal is complete the Premier League champions will be adding another highly touted young centre-back to their ranks.

The young centre-back is currently on loan at Real Valladolid. He has been one of Real Valladolid’s most impressive performers so far this season. That form has firmly put him in Manchester City’s sights. Furthermore, Romano adds that Juma Bah could potentially be loaned to Lens after he signs for Manchester City. Romano adds that the two clubs share a healthy relationship after City’s recent signing of Abdukodir Khusanov from the Ligue One side.

Juma Bah appears to be a signing with one eye on the future for Manchester City. Their intention to loan out the young centre-back shows that he isn’t immediately in City’s first-team plans just yet. With Abdukodir Khusanov already signed and a deal for young Brazilian centre-back Vitor Reis seemingly days away from being confirmed, there isn’t a need for another centre-back in City’s first-team squad. Instead, City can sign Bah and let him further develop while out on loan. The hope is that he can take the strong form that he has shown at Real Valladolid and continue that on loan at Lens if he does land at the Ligue One side.
