Ben White has sustained a “significant medial knee ligament injury” and will be out for the rest of the season.
The Arsenal defender suffered the injury in Sunday’s win over West Ham.
It will likely rule him out of the World Cup with England too, having recently made his way back into the England squad during the last set of international fixtures.

“Further to Sunday’s match at West Ham United, subsequent assessments and specialist reviews have confirmed that Ben White has sustained a significant medial knee ligament injury, which will rule him out for the remainder of this season,” Arsenal said in a statement.
“Our medical team are now managing Ben’s recovery and rehabilitation programme, with everyone fully focused on supporting the aim of Ben being ready for the start of our pre-season preparations.”
It leaves Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta with a dilemma at right-back, with Jurrien Timber also currently sidelined.
