Sunderland are weighing up Simon Adingra’s future this summer, with a permanent departure looking likely as interest builds in the 24-year-old winger.
Foot Mercato reports that AS Monaco are keen to pursue another loan after choosing not to activate their purchase option at the end of the 2025/26 campaign. The clubs are linked through Juan Sartori, who sits on both boards and has family ties to Monaco’s ownership.
Monaco’s stance is complicated by Sunderland’s preference for a sale and by widening competition. AS Roma and RB Leipzig, both in next season’s Champions League, are monitoring the situation.
Ipswich Town and Hull City are also interested, alongside West Ham United.
Adingra impressed in spells during the first half of last season but struggled to secure a regular place under Régis Le Bris. Sunderland must now decide whether to cash in or sanction another loan to rebuild confidence and value.
The Ivory Coast international is on a summer break after his country’s World Cup exit at the last 32 stage.
