Noel Aseko is back at Säbener Straße—but whether the 20-year-old will wear the FC Bayern jersey in the new season remains completely up in the air. Several clubs are vying for the talented midfielder, with Eintracht Frankfurt reportedly making a particularly strong push to sign the U-21 national team player.
Just under two weeks before training begins under Vincent Kompany, Noel Aseko trained at FC Bayern’s facilities for the first time in a while. As reported by BILD, the midfielder completed light running drills and initial ball work on Monday alongside talented center back Cassiano Kiala.
Aseko is thus preparing for the new season—though it remains unclear which club he will play for.
Bayern had only recently reacquired the German U21 national team player from Hannover 96 via a buyback clause. While on loan there, Aseko had impressed, scoring three goals and providing six assists in 33 competitive matches.
According to BILD, there are certainly supporters within FC Bayern who would like to keep the 20-year-old on the first-team roster as a backup for central midfield. At the same time, however, a sale this summer is considered a realistic scenario.
Eintracht Frankfurt, in particular, is reportedly working intensively to sign him. According to reports, the Hessian club is already in talks with the player’s side. A contract through 2030 with an option for an additional year is on the table.

In addition to Frankfurt, clubs from Italy, Spain, and England are also said to have inquired about Aseko.
According to BILD, however, the Munich club has clear expectations. The record champions are reportedly demanding a transfer fee of between ten and twelve million euros for the homegrown player, who moved from Hertha BSC to the Bayern campus in 2022.
A final decision has not yet been made. Neither the player nor FC Bayern are said to have committed to anything yet. However, should Frankfurt submit a suitable offer, Aseko’s second chapter with the record champions could end sooner than it began.
