ASSE unveil 2026-27 kit as Casino return as main shirt sponsor | OneFootball

According to Le Progres, Casino return to AS Saint-Etienne’s 2026-27 kit as principal sponsor, the group’s logo placed on the chest.

The comeback will please long-time supporters. Casino previously fronted ASSE’s shirts between 1986 and 2001. The new strip was unveiled in Saint-Etienne on Wednesday 8 July after an afternoon of events at the town hall square.

Casino chief executive Philippe Palazzi said the move is emotional, local and strategic. He added the brand and club share a common identity, so appearing on the Verts’ shirt felt natural.

He argued it underlines Casino’s popular, locally rooted profile, and is about the future rather than nostalgia. The company is relaunching the brand, which, like ASSE, carries an aura beyond the region.

The deal is for one year for now and the fee remains confidential. Palazzi expects significant media exposure from the partnership. He said ASSE will push for promotion, and he hopes to stand alongside the club to write a new chapter, even calling it the promotion shirt with a smile.
