Atletico Madrid ‘reject’ Victor Osimhen offer, Julian Alvarez seen as blocker | OneFootball

Mundo Deportivo reports that Victor Osimhen was offered to Atletico Madrid for 75 million euros this summer, and the club have turned the proposal down. The 27-year-old was keen on joining the Rojiblancos.

He is willing to accept a pay cut to pursue a move to the Wanda Metropolitano. After facing Atletico in the Champions League last January, he expressed admiration for Diego Simeone, praising their clear identity and viewing a draw as a positive sign.

Osimhen earns a sizeable salary at Galatasaray, boosted by a tax exemption that Türkiye grants foreign residents during their first twenty years, increasing his net income. His contract runs until the summer of 2029.

Atletico lack the liquidity to complete a deal of this scale at present. The club also view him as overlapping with Julian Alvarez’s role, and they intend to keep Alvarez.

Agents have also offered Osimhen to Barcelona, plus Arsenal and Tottenham. Tottenham made an official bid of more than 55 million euros, which Galatasaray rejected, insisting on their valuation.
