According to Coluna Do Fla, Flamengo have completed preparations to face Red Bull Bragantino, with left-back Ayrton Lucas expected to start for the first time under Leonardo Jardim as Alex Sandro continues his recovery.
Since Jardim took charge in early March, Ayrton Lucas has featured in three matches, none as a starter. He could now be named in the starting line-up.
Alex Sandro sustained an injury during the 1-1 draw with Corinthians on 22 February, leaving at half-time for Ayrton Lucas. Subsequent tests revealed a muscle problem in the back of his right thigh.
The medical department rates it as grade one, a minor issue, so he has a chance to be available to Jardim for the Libertadores opener on eight April against Cusco (PER) in Peru.
Flamengo visit Bragança Paulista on Thursday two April, with kick-off at 21:30 Brasília time at Estádio Cicero de Souza Marques, in the ninth round of the Brasileirão.
