The 2025 Ballon d'Or will be revealed in less than two weeks, and Moroccan fans are eager to see Achraf Hakimi lift the prestigious trophy in Paris. Following a stellar season with PSG, the Moroccan star is considered one of the frontrunners for this individual accolade. In Morocco, there is no debate—Hakimi is seen as the deserving winner.

Speaking to RMC, Moroccan supporter Ismail made his stance clear. "Ballon d'Or or not, he's an outstanding player. Now, we all know this award is the result of journalists' opinions, with a lot of politics and promotion involved, but we hope Hakimi wins the Ballon d'Or. The Moroccan people are fully behind him," he declared before the match against Niger (5-0).

It should be noted that Achraf Hakimi hasn't embarked on a major media campaign to sway Ballon d'Or voters. Instead, he enjoys unwavering support from his federation. Omar Khyari, advisor to the President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, responded without hesitation when asked about the Ballon d'Or: "Yes." And he added: "Because he's the best player in the world, there's no debate about it. What he's accomplished as a full-back is simply exceptional."

"For Hakimi, we hope and dream that he will win both the global and African Ballon d'Or," added national team coach Walid Regragui.
